Hello, Roxanne Taylor here! I’m your DIY-obsessed home decor companion! I think that every house needs a little makeover and some love to make it feel like a home. After all, your space should match your vibe and make you feel amazing, right?
The world of DIY has always held a special charm to me, where every moment can turn into a eureka moment. Flipping through magazines, scrolling through Pinterest boards, and rummaging around charity shops — all to find that one piece to change the feel of a home. There’s just something magical about turning the old into something new. Plus, it’s a bloody sight cheaper than therapy – believe me!
My love affair with DIY and home decor started when I got my first flat. I had my place now, but not much to kit it out with. So, I started snooping around in charity stores and second-hand shops to find something I can use.
What started as a hunt for necessity quickly turned into a love for breathing new life into the old. I didn’t exactly know what kind of style I wanted to go for, nor was I aware of the types that exist. It took me years of experimenting and mucking about – and yes, even a few mess-ups – to find my style and discover what I liked. And you know what? That’s perfectly fine.
